About Us

The International Association of Museum Facility Administrators (IAMFA) is an international nonprofit organization devoted to meeting the professional needs of facility and security administrators at cultural institutions, especially in their efforts to set and attain standards of excellence and quality in the sustainable design, construction, operation and maintenance of world-class cultural facilities. In pursuit of these goals, the association sponsors an Annual Conference, Museum Benchmarking Exercise, and communicates with its membership and friends around the world through IAMFA's magazine Papyrus, its website, and its LinkedIn Group.

To serve members of cultural institutions through advancement of the facilities management and administration profession. Through quality educational programs, networking and meaningful partnerships with suppliers of products, services and specialized expertise, IAMFA strives to improve the profession.
