The Philadelphia Museum of Art seeks an experienced architect with advanced project management skills to manage the Museum's Master Plan program and projects by providing oversight of the design and construction activities.
The Program Manager/Project manager will manage the overall Master Plan program validation process. In concert with the Museum's Owner Representative firm, this position will develop requests for proposals for professional design and specialty services and, develop/implement systems to monitor and control project costs and schedules. Working with Museum staff, consultants, and contractors this position will develop an overall building preservation policy, standards for architectural design at the Museum's buildings and, develop a long-range building maintenance plan for the Museum's buildings. The Manager will also work with local, state and federal commissions, agencies and authorities in securing required governmental reviews and approvals. As required, the Manager will prepare and assist with the preparation of regular reports, special studies and analysis.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Architecture degree or equivalent professional degree in architecture, a professional license as an architect and, 20+ years experience demonstrating increasing managerial responsibility. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate multiple groups.
